Beginning operations in 1993, Funtastic Novelties, Inc. specializes in selling toys and prizes that appeal to children from ages five through fifteen.  Our customers include Roller Skating Facilities, Family Entertainment Centers, Miniature Golf Courses, Bowling Centers, Campgrounds, Arcades, Raceways, Businesses with Novelty Shops and Reward Centers.  We also provide products for Churches, Schools, Fund Raising Events, Carnivals, Santa Shops and more.

 

Funtastic Novelties, Inc. began business by encouraging Roller Skating Facilities throughout the country to add a novelty shop with toys and prizes for both retail sale and redemption to their operations.  These new profit centers proved popular: increasing gross revenue by up to ten percent.

 

Our customers generate ongoing revenue by identifying “Hot” trends within targeted demographics.  We pride ourselves on seeking and offering for sale items that meet their wants and needs.  We do our best to maintain our stock; filling client orders in just a few days … while the kids still want them.

• Safety:  We choose items that are safe as well as fun and affordable.  We monitor available Consumer Product Safety legislation to ensure compliance, and, to the best of our knowledge, available products meet or exceed current CPSIA standards.  In the unlikely event that a non-compliant item is discovered, we act swiftly in cooperation with the CPSC to notify our customers and take any action deemed appropriate by the commission.
• Availability:  Our fill rate is exceptional.  We keep a stock of each item on hand and closely monitor inventory levels to ensure prompt delivery of customer orders.

Kris Wall Friesner, President of Funtastic Novelties, Inc., worked in her family’s Roller Skating Facility from an early age learning the business from the ground up.  For ten years, she managed Wall’s Skate Supply, a wholesale supply company.  She closed that business in 1993 and opened Funtastic Novelties, Inc.  Kris and her mother Marjorie Wall have worked side-by-side in the business since its inception.

 

In 1950, James and Marjorie Wall built the Roller Dome Skating Rink in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in which, they raised twelve children.  James passed away in 1993, but Marjorie continues to work every session in her Facility to this day.  Marjorie has been a member of the Roller Skating Association for over fifty years.  She is in the Roller Skating Hall of Fame and is a Life Member for her contributions to the Industry.

 

Kris continues the Wall family tradition of involvement in the skating industry by holding an annual Open House and Trade Show in October which focuses on informing and educating Skating Facility Owners and Managers.
